QUALIFICATIONS:
• A certificate in Social Work, or equivalent.
• Minimum two years experience requiring counseling and advocacy.
• Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Knowledge of community resources is an asset.
• Preference will be given to persons experienced in working with First Nations people
and those with the ability to speak Cree would be an asset.

POSITION SUMMARY:
In collaboration with physician and the primary care teams, the nurse practitioner will provide primary health care services to clients of the Cooperative Health Centre and the community of Canwood. This includes: community development, health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized Nursing Education Program with Certificate in
approved Advanced Clinical Nursing Course or equivalent amount of experience and related
education.
• Current registration or eligible for registration with the SRNA as an RN[NP].
• Two to Three years experience as a Primary Care Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
