This is an Out of Scope position that provides administrative assistance and support to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Leadership Team and reports directly to the Executive Director.

Job Summary:

  • Provide administrative services and assistance, under the direction of the Executive Director.

  • Promote the Vision, Mission and Values of the Co-operative Health Centre.

  • Participate as an active support position and member of the Leadership Team, including Board Strategic Planning and sits on committees (internal and external) as required.

  • Organizes and coordinates education initiatives, events and meetings.

 

Key duties include:

  • Assist with preparation of correspondence.

  • Monitor, respond to and distribute incoming/outgoing communications.

  • Set up and complete administrative tasks associated with the Board, Leadership and external meetings in a hybrid environment.

  • Support meetings with the development of agendas and meeting notes, as required.

  • Prepare documents for review, presentation and updates to the Board and Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Certificate in administrative/clerical support, office management, or related area.

  • Minimum three years related experience and/or education combined.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • The ability to manage complex administrative work requiring the use of independent judgement and initiative.

  • Knowledge and understanding of word processing programs, databases and other related programs.    

  • Experience working in a health care setting is an asset.

  • Experience working with a Board of Directors is an asset.

  • Understanding and support to the philosophy and goals of the Co-operative Health Centre.
